Some of Milligan’s artwork, created by a few of his alters. While hospitalized, Milligan painted and sold his artwork for thousands of dollars. Unlike typical patients who were restricted on funds, he was allowed to keep all the money he earned, which eventually enabled him to buy a car. The sale of his paintings sparked intense public backlash and legislative scrutiny regarding whether he was improperly profiting from his crimes - kidnapping, rape, and robbery.
